When a person is paying attention and internalising the words of a speaker. The listener will tend to respond with nonverbal cues such as nods.

Conscious mirroring with the intent of fostering a better relationship between the performer and the subject. Can be seen as manipulative.

When a person displays body language that is different to their "normal" selves, such as in a job interview when people try to appear more confident.
