Speed skating
Speeed skating is a competitive form of ice skating in which individuals race around an ice rink. There are three categories of the sport based on speed and distance they are, short-track speed skating, long-track speed skating and marathon speed skating.

When a skater moves their skate inward toward the midline of the body. A Skater will do this when they are doing a crossover or the double push stride.
Inside edge

The edge of the blade that faces toward the other skate. This is the inside edge and is used for pushing the skater.
Interference

When one skater touches, bumps or interferes with the progress of another skater. This usually happens when one skater is trying to pass another.
Jump

This is a sudden increase in speed a skater uses to pass or increase their lead over another / other skater(s).
