prepletena rijeka
Vrsta rijeke kod koje se riječno korito sastoji od mreže manjih kanala razdvojenih malim, često privremenim otocima koje nazivamo sprudovima. Prepletene rijeke nastaju kad rijeka teče s velikim nagibom i/ ili nosi puno sedimenta (Schumm i Kahn 1972). Prepletene rijeke također su karakteristične za područja gdje se dubina i brzina rijeke naglo mijenjaju, kao što su riječne delte, aluvijalne lepeze i penepleni.
