A Tale of Two Cities is a novel by Charles Dickens first published in 1859. It is set in London and Paris before and during the French Revolution. The book follows several protagonists over the years leading up to the French Revolution, the brutality towards the former aristocrats in the years following the revolution and the social parallels with life in London during the same time period.
