Aaron H. Swartz
Aaron H. Swartz (November 8, 1986 – January 11, 2013) was an American computer programmer, prodigy and internet archivist. Swartz was widely credited with co-authoring the specifications for the first Web feed format RSS 1.0 when he was at age 14. He also helped build what would become the social networking site Reddit. Swartz later founded the advocacy group Demand Progress and played a key role in stopping an online piracy bill in Congress.
Swartz committed suicide by hanging in his Brooklyn apartment on January 11, 2013. He was 26 years old. Swartz had suffered from some personal problems and had blogged about his depression.
