Bailey bridge

A military bridge of welded lattice construction developed by Sir Donald Bailey in 1942. Each panel is connected to the neighbouring panels at the four corners by steel pins. The panels can also be connected together in one, two or three storeys with one, two or three panels in each storey, the later arrangement being known as a triple- triple span.
