Black Ivory Coffee is a company that makes coffee using coffee beans that are eaten and digested by elephants at the Golden Elephant Triangle Foundation in Chiang Saen, Northern Thailand.The beans are grown at altitudes as high as 1500 meters. The company claims that 33 kilogrammes of their specially refined beans are needed to produce just one kilogramme of roasted coffee. Each kilogramme is priced at $1,100, making it the most expensive coffee in the world.
