Clement XII

246th Pope of the Catholic Church. Pontificate 1730 - 1740. Prior to papacy, Clement was a lawyer, with a degree from the University of Pisa, who had practised law under the able direction of his uncle, Cardinal Neri Corsini. In papacy, Clement worked to restore the Church's finances and worked towards adding new buildings and architecture designs, such as the facade of the San Giovanni in Laterano.
