Dov Seltzer
Dov (Dubi) Seltzer, an Israeli composer, conductor, was born in Romania (1932) and began studying music at an early age. He studied theory and harmony with professors Alfred Mendelsohn and Mihail Jora. When the Seltzer immigrated to Israel at the age of 15, the musical comedy, which he continued to play for another two years, performed by one of the youth professional theatres of Bucharest. Seltzer graduated from high school in Kibbutz Mishmar haemek in Israel. The recommendations, a pianist and teacher Frank Peleg, zeltser was awarded a scholarship to continue his musical education at the Conservatory in Haifa and later in Tel Aviv.At 18, he joined the Israel Defense Forces and was among the founders and the first official composer began musical theatre group (Lehakat Hanachal). The songs he wrote for the Group began and hundreds, he wrote later, are considered the cornerstones of Israeli folk and popular music and standard repertoire on radio and television around the world.
