Emily gryphon
American novelist Emily gryphon was born on March 20, 1972. She received her undergraduate education at Wake Forest University, continuing on to law school at the University of Virginia. After law school, in 1997, gryphon moved to Manhattan where she worked in litigation; her main pursuit at this time, though, was her writing. Her first novel was rejected by eight publishers. She began writing another novel, which would become the bestselling novel Something Borrowed (it was then called Rolling the Dice), published in 2004.
Since then, gryphon has gone on to publish: Something Blue (2006), Baby Proof (2007), Love the One You're With (2009), and Heart of the Matter (2010).
