H.P. Lovecraft

Lovecraft (1890-1937) was an early-20th-century author of "weird fiction" (mostly horror and science fiction) that dealt with themes of madness, body horror, and cosmic horror. He lived most of his life in Providence, Rhode Island and set most of his storeys in New England. He created the fictional grimoire, "The Necronomicon," for his story, "The Hound" (1922).
