Jabberwocky
Jabberwocky is a poem written by British author Lewis Carroll and published in his book "Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There". Many of the words included within are nonsense words that are meant to be appreciated on an aesthetic rather than semantic level.
The poem itself tells the storey of a boy who goes out hunting for a Jabberwock, a mysterious monster. The boy kills the Jabberwock with his sword and takes home the head.
Although it was originally conceived as a piece of satire, it is now highly regarded as one of the best examples of a nonsense poem.
