Jacques Vallee was born in France were he learned astrophysics. Valle worked as an investigator in computer networking projects on the Department of Defense. In 1962 Vallee moved to the United States were he studied at Nortwestern University and in 1967 he received his Ph.D. in computer science. At this time Vallee got to know Dr. J. Allen Hynek and became a close associate to him.
