Mugly
Mugly is an 8-year-old Chinese crested dog and the winner of the 2012 World's Ugliest Dog contest. Armed with his oddly placed whiskers, irregularly shaped ears and scattered teeth, Mugly beat out 28 other ugly competitors from around the world to win the annual competition in Northern California on June 22, 2012. A rescued dog having had hard times in his early life including being viciously attacked by a group of thugs in a park, Mugly is a breed known for being mostly hairless and prone to conditions that make the small dogs strong competitors in an ugly contest.
Owned by Bev Nicholson of Peterborough, England, Mugly also won $1,000 and a year's worth of dog cookies.
