Neolithic Period
According to historical and archaeological findings, the Neolithic age in Greece lasted from 6800 to 3200 BC. Most of the domesticated settlements were founded near eastern Greece. The main reason for migration is cited to be overpopulation. This period saw the introduction of pottery and animal husbandry into Greece. They might have travelled via the route of the black sea into Thrace, which then further leads into Macedonia, Thessaly. Boeotia etc. The main characteristic of this era was climate stabilisation and settlement of people.
