Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones are an English rock band, created in 1962. The original group was formed by Brian Jones (guitar, harmonica), Ian Stewart (piano), Mick Jagger (lead vocals, harmonica, guitar), Keith Richards (guitar, vocals), Bill Wyman (Bassist) and Charlie Watts (drummer). Currently the members of the band are Mick Jagger , Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood.
At the beginning Jones led the group, but later Jagger and Richards assumed the leadership. In 1969, Jones' left the band (and less than a month later he died drowned in his own swimming pool). He was substituted by Mick Taylor, who also left the band in 1974, and was replaced by Ronnie Wood. Wyman left the group in 1993 and he was replaced by Darryl Jones, who has not been a full member. In 1963 Stewart became the road manager and occasional keyboardist until his death in 1985 and in 1982, Chuck Leavell replaced him as keyboardist.
They have released 22 studio albums in the UK (24 in USA), nine live albums (ten in USA) and numerous compilations.
