An embarrassing sex scandal involving eleven Secret Service personnel in Columbia which overshadowed U.S. President Barack Obama's diplomatic mission to Latin America in April 2012. The agents brought a number of prostitutes to the beachfront hotel El Caribe in Cartagena near where the president stayed. Afterwards, some of the agents were involved in a payment dispute with the prostitutes who subsequently notified local police.

Although prostitution is not a criminal offense, it's considered a serious misconduct by the Secret Service. Following the incident, all eleven agents and uniformed division personnel were revoked of their top security clearance.
