The Thirty-eighth Parallel is latitude that separates South and North Korea. It was created after the Second World War when the soviet government led by Stalin greatly influenced the North Korea. On the other America which had opened war on communism backed South Korea. This eventually led to conflict in June 1950 as the north attacked the south, America stepped in to help the south.
