A technique to detect specific proteins. A mixture of proteins is separated by polyacrylamide-gel electrophoresis, blotted on to a plastic sheet (e.g. of nitrocellulose) and then exposed to a radiolabelled immunoglobulin directed against the desired protein, which is revealed by autoradiography.
