Ziripot
The Ziripot is a character of the carnival of Lantz (Navarre, Spain). The costum of Ziripot is made of sacks and it is full of straw. It gives to Ziripot a spectacular appearance and it is very useful for him as he is pushed to the ground several times during the carnival by the "Zaldiko" (a man dress up like a horse), who represents the horse of the burglar "Miel Otxin" (nowadays is a represented by a huge puppet which at the end of the carnival is burned). The "Zaldiko" attacks the Ziripot because this last one tries to capture "Miel Otxin". The Ziripot also wears a hat and his face is always covered. He carries a big wooden stick and each time he falls is helped by the "txatxos" (which represents the Lantz population).
