It causes adult T-cell leukaemia (HTLV-I-associated acute T-cell leukemia-lymphoma), t-cell lymphoma (T-cell lymphoma), and is involved in mycosis fungoides, sezary syndrome and tropical spastic paraparesis (tropical spastic paraparesis).
