Alpaca

A member of the camel family, Camelidae, which has been domesticated for more than 2,000 years. The Camelidae belong to the mammalian order Artiodactyla, the even-toed ungulates. The alpaca (Lama pacos), more restricted in its range than other species of this family, is found at elevations above 12,000 ft (3,600 m) along the shores of Lake Titicaca on the boundaries of Peru and Bolivia.
