Bouvardia
Genus of about 30 species of evergreen shrubs and perennials from scrub, thickets, woodland and forest margins in tropical ans subtropical S. US to South America. Bouvardia have clusters of white, pink, or dark pink florets. They look a little like geraniums. Fragrant flowers appear from midsummer to early winter. Pinch out the tips of young plants to promote bushy growth and cut back the stems once flowering is over. The shrub will grow about 2 ft high.
