Cavity laser

A laser that employs a resonant cavity filled with gas, such as helium/neon or argon, and a pair of reflectors. Resonance occurs between the reflectors, one of which is totally reflective and the other of which is approximately 95 percent reflective. Output is from the partially reflective end of the device.
