Colocasia

Genus of 6 species of tuberous, deciduous or evergreen perennials from swampy or moist areas in tropical Asia, and widely grown there as a staple food. Colocasia is similar a Caladium, but their all-green leaves are very giant - up to 2-3 ft long. It is not an easy plant to grow. All parts may cause mild stomach upset if ingested, and contact with the sap may irritate skin.
