Colour codes

Resistor colour codes (used on thru-hole devices) indicate the devices value, tolerance and in some cases its failure rate. In some cases, 1 percent resistors may use a three digit or four digit code to denote resistor values. These code are also applicable to 2 percent and 5 percent tolerances.
