Critical ratio

A production prioritisation rule that divides the time remaining until a job due date by the amount of time required to perform the remaining work. A ratio of one indicates the job is exactly on time, greater than one that the job is ahead of schedule, and less than one that the job is behind schedule. Negative values indicate a job already past the due date (as opposed to merely behind schedule).
