Ezrin/radixin/moesin-binding phosphoprotein 50
An adaptor protein that localises at the apical region of epithelial cells. Ezrin/radixin/moesin-binding phosphoprotein 50 (EBP50) is required for the recruitment of active phosphorylated ERM (ezrin/radixin/moesin) proteins at the apical membrane in the specialised epithelia containing microvilli, its deficiency leading to structural defects in the intestinal epithelium.
