The aim of feature inspection is to describe the technical features of a product such as a piece of software as detailed as possible, so that it allows the comparison between products of the same type. Feature checklists are compiled with the aim to demonstrate the differences between similar products. The results are meant to improve the product design to better meet the consumer requirements in their particular environment.
