Immediate feedback

A consequence that occurs just as a response is being completed or just after it has been completed. To be immediate the consequence must occur before a second response is made. Immediate feedback may occur naturally or it may be added. The high jumper gets natural immediate feedback for each jump from whether or not the bar falls down. He or she may also get immediate feedback that is added by a coach commenting on form as each jump is completed.
