Intasome
A nucleoprotein complex active in integration of bacteriophage DNA into host DNA. Negatively supercoiled host DNA is forced to cross back over itself at points called nodes, which are sites for binding of proteins that facilitate the recombination with phage DNA or result in crossing-over of the host strands and formation of a knotted DNA.
