1 - Cable used to connect the ship aground or when victim of an accident to the land or, in case of towing, to connect the two ships, thus allowing the transference of people and light equipment. 2 - Cable transverssally passed, a little above the deck, for the safety of the crew, in case of bad weather. 3 - Cable passed among yard ropes or near bowsprits and the yard horizontal to the side of the boat, to serve as support for the crew in handling the ship.
