(Sanskrit) Panna in Pail. This term means pure and intuitive wisdom, one of the aspects under which the goal of Buddhism is known, often personified as feminine. It is the supreme wisdom considered by Mahayana Buddhism to be outside human experience and incapable of being conveyed in this-world categories. The key experience of prajna is insight into Emptiness, the true nature of the cosmos. This is usually attained during enlightenment.
