Programme crops

Crops eligible for deficiency payments under commodity programme provisions that ended in 1995. These were wheat, feed grains, cotton, and rice. These same crops are now called contract commodities because they are eligible for production flexibility contract payments. Other commodities receiving price support include extra long staple cotton, soybeans and other oilseeds, tobacco, peanuts, sugar, and milk.
