Quality assurance

All the activities and functions concerned with the attainment and maintenance of quality. Quality assurance refers to the management systems in a company for attaining and maintaining quality, and not to the operating systems. It will include such matters as recruitment and training of staff, documenting specifications, codes of practise and operating procedures, preparing HACCP plans, developing and maintaining records of operational practices, and of quality control for management purposes and for inspection by customers and regulatory authorities.
