Reactive immunisation
A technique to widen the scope of catalytic reactions effected by abzymes. Reactive compounds are used as antigens; some of the resulting antibodies are directed to the reaction complex with a protein or carbohydrate. The antibody can then recruit to its binding site the components of the reaction and force them into reactive juxtaposition.
