Renovascular hypertension
Also called renal hypertension or renal artery stenosis, it is high blood pressure caused by a narrowing of the renal arteries that carry blood to the kidneys. The result leads to a reduction of blood flow to the kidneys, which respond by sending out signals to the body to raise blood pressure. Renal hypertension is a secondary form of hypertension as its cause is well known.
