Range of soluble metallic salts like bismuth subnitrate, silver nitrate, copper sulfate, cobalt sulfate, ferric chloride, and stannous chloride, used to create fumed lustre effects on glazed wares, and to create surface effects on unglazed sagger-fired wares. Most are soluble and highly toxic.
