The speed that an arrow travels; usually measured in feet-per-second or meters-per-second. The speed of an arrow shot from a recurve bow can travel at speeds over 150 miles per-hour (241 km) while an arrow shot from a compound bow can travel over 225 miles per hour (362 km).
