An optoisolator in which an LED controls the turn on/off of a bilateral MOSFET device. These devices are commonly used as channel-switching devices.

Refers to an amp and speaker cabinet combination in which the head (amp circuitry) and speakers are not housed in the same enclosure.

Pilot lamp

A light that indicates whether an amp or other electrical device is turned on.
