Anabatic

This is the name given to air rising up slopes resulting from convection, occurring when the sides of a mountain valley are heated further and more rapidly than the valley floor.

Cobble

Loose particles of rock or mineral (sediment) that range in size from 64 - 256 millimetres in diameter. Cobbles are a size of gravel larger than pebbles, but smaller than boulders.

Cape

Earth science; Geology

A relatively extensive land area jutting seaward from a continent or large island which prominently marks a change in, or interrupts notably, the coastal trend; a prominent feature.
