Antigua and Barbuda

Consisting of two main islands, Antingua and Barbuda is former country of the British Empire located in the Caribbean islands. The islands' capital is Saint John's, and the total population is around 85,000 (2010), composed mostly of those of African origin, and some of British, Portugese and Levantine Arab origin. The country gained independence from the British Empire on November 1, 1981, but remains part of the Commonwealth Realm as a parliamentary democracy with Queen Elizabeth II as the country's official Head of State.
