A religious organisation that has been described as a"parody religion", that predominately satirises religion, conspiracy theories, unidentified flying objects, and popular culture. It began in Dallas, Texas, the Church of the SubGenius gained prominence in the 1980s and 1990s and maintains an active presence on the Internet. Ivan Stang is the founding president and the Vice President is Dr. Philo Drummond, a.k.a. Steve Wilcox. By 2003 it had more than 10,000 followers.
