Kinect
Formerly known as Natal, the Microsoft Kinect is a gaming/entertainment system for the Xbox 360 that uses body gestures and voice commands instead of physical controllers for gaming interactivity. Unlike the Nintendo Wii and Sony PlayStation Move, Kinect removes the physical controller altogether and relies on a person's bodily moves and spoken commands to control and interact with games. The Kinect uses a webcam-style set-top peripheral for the Xbox 360 console to capture motion images and interpret them into computer commands.
Kinect was officially launched on November 4, 2010.
