Marea is a rock band music from Pamplona (Spain). It was created in 1997 by Kutxi Romero (singer) and the other members are: Alén Ayerdi (battery), Edu Beaumont "El Piñas" (bass), César Ramallo (guitar) and David Díaz "Kolibrí" (guitar).

In its origins, the band was called "La Patera", but when they tried to register the name of their first album (Marea), they noticed that the name La Patera was already taken by another group, so they exchange the name of the album for the name of the band, and that's why the band name is Marea.

They have 6 albums: La patera (1999), Revolcón (2000), Besos de perro (2002), 28.000 puñaladas (2004), Las aceras están llenas de piojos (2007), En mi hambre mando yo (2011).
