Socrates
The philosophers who existed before Socrates were primarily natural philosophers. Socrates came to a conclusion that the main problem with the human person was the human person and so his main focus was on the daily practical affairs of living. He spent most of his time outside talking with people to the extent that he almost knew everyone who lived in Athens; his mission was to ask questions. He claimed to have daemon that guided him, always functioning negatively in giving premonitions against doing certain things. He never gave his associates any answer but steered the conversation in such a way that a person would divine the answers themself.
