Under the Open Skies Treaty, an airspace of defined dimensions, above the territory of a State Party, within which the flight of aircraft is prohibited, in accordance with specified conditions. This is one of the three types of areas that are covered under the term "hazardous airspace," on the basis of the International Civil Aviation organisation Convention.
