Stink bug
Also known as shield bugs, stink bugs release a pungent odour as a method of defence or when killed. Originating from Asia, they have made their way around the world and have caused many problems to household owners and farmers for their pesky behavior. Though not harmful, certain families of stink bugs feed off of fruits and vegetation, leaving discoloration and puncture marks, which make the produce hard to sell. They are known to be attracted to light and reproduce in large numbers. Stink bugs generally are most active during the warmer months.
