A copying process in which areas on a sheet of paper, corresponding to those on the original, are sensitised by static electricity, and then sprinkled with black or coloured resin that adheres and is fused to the paper; derived from "dry + draw". Also called "electrostatic copy". See reprography, photocopy, quick printing, demand printing.
