Ian Fleming
Ian Fleming (28 May 1908 - 12 August 1964) was a British author, journalist and Naval Intelligence Officer. Fleming is best known for creating fictional spy James Bond in a series of twelve novels and nine short storeys about the character. During World War II he worked for the Naval Intelligence Office where he picked up much of the content for his future novels. After the war he spent a lot of time in Jamaica, where he started writing in 1952. He was named fourteenth in the list of "50 Greatest British Writers" in 2008.
